Nature camping Corgo do Pardieiro

Camping Corgo do Pardieiro is located in the South-West of Portugal, the Alentejo (region Odemira). The characteristics of this region are the coast with many beautiful beaches, high planes, hills and valleys, cork oaks and olive trees, the little, white villages and above all: lots of sun shine.

This is the ideal environment for hikers and nature lovers and for people looking for space, quietness, nature. Enjoy the sun or the shadow of an olive tree, a beautifull view or a good book, or just relax in a hammock and experience nature. At night listen to the scream of a tawny owl or wonder about the million stars that are visible here.

The camping

On our expansive campground (8.5 hectares!) you can choose between several, varied sites to pitch your tent or put your caravan. On the top of a hill under an old stone oak; in the valley of olive trees; under the oak trees or a private site under fruit trees and laurel near the creek. The sites are spaced far apart so you enjoy maximum privacy.

All tent sites have a picnic table. In our camping kitchen you will find a two-burner stove, a place for washing dishes and a hand-washing machine, both with hot and cold water. For the lower campersites with have a second sanitary building with shower, toilet and sink.

Friendly pets are welcome.

On the 8,5 hectare natural area of the estate with old cork oaks and olive trees we have planted a variety of additional young trees, brushes and flowers (such as this melianthus). 

All year round you can enjoy this beautiful place. In spring and autumn the climate is very enjoyable and in spring nature is at its best with lots of flowers!

Would you like 'somebody else' to cook your dinner? On request we prepare and serve you a delicious and vegetarian meal to your choice. And in the morning we have homebaked bread, fresh form our oven!

The environment

Several hike and mountain bike routes start from the campground, varying in length from one hour to one day.

The village of Amoreiras-Gare is nearby (2,5 km). It is small but some interesting facilities are available, such as food stores and several small restaurants where you can enjoy a simple meal or relax with a glas of wine among the locals. Watch the video!

At the station you can take the train for a day trip to e.g. Lisbon or Faro (Algarve).

Of course you can also explore the characteristic white villages and towns in the neighbourhood by car of by bike (such as Odemira).

If you like a swim in one of the big artificial lakes you will enjoy for instance the clear water of Santa Clara lake (20 km).

Children

Children can play safely in the area and there is a lot to be discovered on the 8,5 ha estate. There is also a childrens playground for digging, climbing and playing ball.
